A new release of Easy-Scout Professional, Version 2.6 began shipping in late November. Significant enhancements include a new Quick Cut Editor and Integrated Video Export Wizard.
Quick Cut
Easy-Scout Pro now includes an optional, streamlined editing screen that is ideal for simple editing tasks and “2 pass” editing processes. Coaches accustomed to marking ODK (Offense, Defense Kicking) first and then returning to add the details for each play will find this new feature extremely useful.
A second enhancement is the addition of the Export Video Wizard that was released last summer as a standalone utility for creating Windows Media and AVI files from Easy-Scout Pro movie projects. Now accessible from within the Easy-Scout Pro program, the wizard can generate cutup files directly from the video analysis grid, with significantly less effort and fewer keystrokes than in previous versions. With the addition of the Export Video Wizard, it is no longer necessary (though still possible) to use a separate program to generate cutup files for burning to CD or DVD, copying to flash drives, or uploading to file sharing web sites.
Other minor improvements, including a number of updated reports are included. An upgrade is available for current users of any prior version of Easy-Scout Pro, and a video demonstration of the new features is available to current users who visit the CompuSports Technical Support center or the Onlne Help and Download center.
